Unity Default layout is a good starting place for new developers but the work flow is not optimal. Lets change this.

Change the layout that we are using

Go to the top right and select the Layout drop down selecting Tall.

A Better Game View

Now let’s move the Game view below the scene view and make it take up about half the height of the window.

A Better Project view

Now lets make an adjustment to the way the project view is displayed so we can see the assets in multiple folders at once. Select the three dot in the project view and choose One Column Layout.

Saving the Layout

Lastly Let’s save this layout so we can come back to it at another time. Go to the top right corner and select Layout drop down Select Save Layout. Give your layout a name I named mine Professional Layout.
